ON ITS WAY

It has been waaay too long since I've actually drawn something. The bug finally caught up to me, and I randomly started thinking about our camping trip and how sunburned we got. Fortunately, that sunburn is gone. Even still, I can't wait to fully dive into summer (which officially begins on June 21, by the way).

Texas has me fooled everyday, telling me that summer has been here since April. I'm typing this right now and peering out the window at the tree leaves whirling around in the wind against the blanket of dark gray clouds, anticipating another summer storm. Ahhh, time to open up the windows and curl up in bed with a good book. :)

Are you a summer lover like me?

Danie! I really love this illustration! It's totally beautiful and has that effortless vibe of summer! And yes, I love summer. In the Midwest, it's completely appreciated, but a little deceptive this year, as it's been quite dreary! Fingers crossed for some hot, gorgeous weather ahead!

Love your drawing! As per usual...Gosh I love summer. I really need to move somewhere warm bc this cold and grey is killing me, I want to bbq every day!

Love this drawing, the rose on the cheeks is perfect! I too am a summer lovin' fool, it's what keeps winter's chill from burring too deep inside.

Sarah: Gosh, thanks sweet. :) My fingers are crossed for you! i'm sure it'll turn out to be a gorgeous one.

Naomi: Well thank you! And I love your writing, you know. :) Ahh, that would most likely kill me too...hope the sun peeks out!

Bekuh: Hey! Thanks so much, Bekuh. That sounds like a famous quote (or it should be if it isn't yet). :) Totally agree with you, lady.

Great lines you create! Total feeling of summer in your illustration :) But summer? Since I am on hot islands, I'd rather choose the winter here...
