I took this photo the weekend before last while taking a walk. It's the only palm tree in our neighborhood, and I love it. It feels weird to lug the camera around on walks in the heat, but I can't get over the feeling I have when a photo comes out like this, unedited. I can't wait to try a technique that makes the photo blurry and hazy. I've heard that you can put a blanket (or some other type of light fabric) over your lens to achieve the effect.
Obviously, the beach has been on my mind for far too long.
