I NEED YOUR OPINION, PRETTY PLEASE

This is actually about two things....kindness first, and then I need your opinion. :)

On kindness: I've mentioned it recently, but I want to say again how much your kindness means to me. I never would have thought I would meet so many sweet people through blogging alone, and as cheesy as it sounds, my life feels fuller with the genuine kindness and encouragement you all have shown me. It's daunting at times (or well, for me, almost every day) to pursue what you truly love to do and believe in yourself without being a giant worrywart about the future. I can't believe the outpouring amount of support you all possess. I look like a nerd every time I excitedly check my blog and email and reply back to sweet comments and talk to new friends (such inspirational people--writers, designers, artists, photographers, and others that should be paid comedians, to name a few). You are BEST type of cheerleaders, in my book!

Bekuh, from Secondhand Sundays,  showed a huge amount of support for her readers by offering free ad space for the whole month of April. FREE. As in, "Hey, I'm extremely sweet, and I want to do this for you...you know, help you hurl yourself out there. I'm not asking anything in return. I just want to help you." WHAT. Obviously, she didn't call herself sweet...I had to say it for her! But anyway, of course I blurted out an email to her as fast as my shaking fingers could type, saying, "OMG, you are super AWESOME, and I WANT THIS!!...Please?" :)

End of story: I am so excited to have a sponsorship spot on Bekuh's blog! Sooo here comes part 2:

I'm indecisive. Drives my guy nuts. I tell him, "Loooook AT THIS!! Look look!! Which one do you liiiike better??" He says, without fail, the option that was kind of my second choice....so now I'm all messed up and think it must have been my first choice...?

I'm going to be unbiased now, because I clearly can't make up my mind.

Would you give me your opinion? Which option do you like best to serve as my ad for Bekuh's blog?

Awww, such a sweet post! :) As for options, I have to say, I'm a fan of #2 best.

this was a very sweet post!

M.E. Of course! It looked delicious! :)

Kyla and Julia: Thanks so much for your voootes! :) Ha one point for option 1 and one point for option 2! Hopefully this doesn't end up a split vote! Gah.

You are the best, Danie! I adore #1 LOVE IT! Thank you for being so open and lovely!

Oh Ana! You're a dear. Thank you!!

I think I like #1 the most. It makes good use of the white space and seems to "cuddle" the text.

I like number one. The other has a bit too much distance between the words and the face.

Wren

Oh man they are both awesome, but my inner teacher-nerd says #1!!!

I'm leaning towards #1 ... option #2 leaves too much space between PASADYA and the drawing. They are both gorgeous drawings, though!

love option 2... looks sexier... ha! happy weekend!

Hi lovely! Both are wonderful but #2 is perhaps more unique. Maybe I would move the face even more to the right to make it even more distant OR go the opposite and blow it up a slightly and bring it closer to the title (as you did in option #1) to the left. xx

To everyone: Thank you all SO much for helping me make up my mind! #1 is the one I was leaning toward in the beginning, but my husband preferd #2. You all were so kind to push me along and decide.

Mere, Wren, Rebecca, and Anna: You're so right about the spacing, now that I look at it! I'll definitely pay attention to that in the future for ad designs and layouts in general.

Hope you all have a great weekend! :)

Sarah and Holly: Thank you so much for your picks! Aw, Holly, I ended up sending in option 1 on Friday. My husband was sad it didn't win. I still love that drawing, though. :)

I'm so glad I have found you from your guest post on Daisy's :) I've been browsing your blog and I am really loving it... I am actually biased because I learned that your mom is Filipina haha.. but you do have a very nice inspiring blog. I do have met a lot of friends through blogging too and they do fill my hearts (cheesiness aside)... it's nice to have someone to share things with especially when one lives far from her first home and real friends.

Regarding the options, I adore both of them! They give different air though.. on the first option, the girl gives a more kind, somehow empathetic, welcoming and ready to listen look while on the second option, the girl gives a more sophisticated a bit snobbish (just a tad bit) and thoughtful look.... so I if I were to choose, I'd go for option 1 :)

Spanish Pinay: Thank you so much!!! I'm so happy you like it. :)

It's crazy how Filipinos are so often instantly connected based on heritage. I just love the kindness and hospitality of the culture so much! You are so brave to go all the way to Spain from the Philippines! What a culture shock, I'm sure. When my mom first came to the states to be a nurse, her English was still pretty minimal, so when she would try to buy a little food or anything, she would just have to grab bills out of her purse and shove it all to the cashier and hope they would be fair and give back the correct change. She's ALWAYS chatting on the phone with her beloved Filipino friends. My favorite phrase is "Oy! KUMUSTA!!!" Anyway, I look up to you both very much for being so far away from home.

Thank you so much for your opinion! You are so wonderful at evaluation and critiquing! Option 1 is actually the one I ultimately went with. I would completely agree that Option 2 is a bit snobby! She is definitely extremely confident with herself, I would say!

Hi!Ola Kamusta? LOL. I'm from the Philippines, too. I got here via Joanna Goddard's blog. I can't stop reading and clicking and I want to know why. Not all blogs have that effect, ya know.

I love the first one because the girl stares back at me. It's bold. Its elements are also more balanced. The subject in #1 emphasizes the text. ;-)

Wenna: Aw! Omg, don't you just love Joanna's blog? You are so kind! Thank you, thank you! Can't tell you how much I appreciate your words.

Thanks so much for your input! Well, your pick ended up winning, much to my husband's disappointment. :) I agree, I think after staring at the two FOREVER, I do feel like the first option is a little more balanced as well. I think I should have done what everyone was saying and move the girl in option 2 closer to the text. So nice to have all of everyone's sweet input.
