First of all, I hope all of you are okay in the Northeast! It's stressful just to watch the news about Sandy, and I'm thinking about you. We mostly worry about tornadoes in central Texas rather than hurricanes since we obviously lack in the water department.
On a much lighter note, you all know that it's not my usual way to put color in my fashion illustrations...but, I figure experimentation is good! After watching this jaw-dropping video about fashion illustrating by Yelen Aye, I definitely want to practice as much as possible.
Anything you've been experimenting with lately?

Beautiful illustration! I love that magenta!
That is stunning. I don't think I could live in a world without color.
The only thing I've experimented on lately is a pumpkin :P I studded it with thumbtacks.
Danica: Thanks so much. :) You have the cutest name!
Tie Bow-tie: Aw, thanks! I can't wait to check out your blog. :) Thanks so much for dropping by mine!
Abby: Hi! Well thank you! Yeah, the magenta drew me in the moment I saw the photo.
Liz: Thanks so much! Meee neither! Sometimes I like things SO simple that I become afraid to use color. Aww, I bet your pumpkin is adorable! Actually, that's a really good idea! I've never thought of doing that. Well...maybe I need to deal more with pumpkins as it is. I think I've only carved like less than 5 in my entire life.
I love love love the splash of pink color on the skirt/dress. Funny how many times we can be nervous about experimenting .. then beauty created from the experiment heals the fear. Looking fwd to seeing more color in ur illustrations :)
Danie, I love the outcome of your experimentation in the color department, the result is impressive, and very powerful! And about my experimentations in my latest project ... there's enough of that, in terms of materials and eco-friendly design...
Have a great weekend, sweetie!
Big hugs!

Ada, thank you! It really is refreshing to try new techniques without worrying what the outcome will be. :) I'm a typical worrywart, but I have to let go!
Ines: Thanks, dear! So glad you like it. :) I need to see your experiments, too!! They must be so beautiful, based on what I already know about you. Hope you have a great weekend also, Ines! Abrazos!
