Guys! I owe you a huge thank you for all the great recommendations. Unfortunately, we didn't have the time and energy to go to every place, but we made it to quite a few!
I have about 1.5 billion photos to share with you ranging from the wine-like county of Walnut Grove (a gorgeous island that's reached by crossing draw bridges...I feel like a Medieval person saying that...is that what they're called?), the gorgeous bridges entering San Francisco, foggy days at the beginning, sunny days at the end, and everything in between.
We got scared in Sacramento, so no pictures there. :( Note to self: no more "great deals" of $50 hotels in the big cities. It doesn't work the same way Texas does. We learned THAT the hard way. Safety Sally all the way.
I think I'll just start showing you a few photos of my favorite areas in parts until we get through the trip, starting tomorrow. How does that sound?
Hope you've had an amazing week! :)

Ooo! Welcome back! I can't wait to see all your wonderful pictures! I had a similar sketchy hotel experience a few years ago. We checked out early! Yikes!
Welcome back! Can't wait to see the rest.
Sarah: Thanks! Oh geez, aren't sketchy hotels the worst? We just decided to throw the money away and live, ha.
Daisy: Thank you! I'm so excited to show you! :) Too bad we couldn't drop by LA.
You only need one experience in a dive hotel to swear never to go back.
That first photo is breathtaking!!! Looks like a super fun adventure!

I am SO happy you had a good trip! San Fran is amazing, Sacramento is a beautiful place.. if you are in the right places... AH i miss cali! Love it!
Alison: That's the truest statement in the world.
Wren: Thanks, sweet! We almost missed seeing that view...we were told by the locals to go up that particular hill on the last day of the trip! I loved the photos the most from that day.
Rosa: Ah, thanks, lovely!! It's good to be back. :)
Leyla: I'm so glad! :) Can't wait to share with you!
Ines: Hi dear! Thanks so much! I'm having trouble wading through all of them. I think it takes me the longest just to choose which photos to omit. Maybe I'll put the outtakes up on Facebook or something. Abrazos!
Rhi: Oh, I know. The beginning of the trip didn't seem like it would be that way, but the end of the trip turned around!
Krista: Aw, thank you so much! I know we missed out on Sacramento. Well...next time, I guess!
