Time for Part 3 of the trip...
The commotion of China Town was exhilarating, and I loved talking to the sellers at the markets. What did we talk about? Mostly vegetables. Maybe it's the Chinese in me, but I didn't get bored with the conversation. I also loved the underwear hanging out to dry in the windows. Fabulous.
If we had access to a kitchen, you can bet I would have stuffed a bag full of vegetables and cooked them for dinner. If I were feeling especially daring, I would also bravely hang out my underwear. :)
The sounds of this man's instrument were beautiful. He graciously let me take his picture, so of course I went at it as if I were his personal paparazzi.
Although about a jillion items were for sale, we only came back with three (hilarious and adorable) things: two money pouches and one random keychain monkey ready to protect his banana at all costs. I couldn't part with one of them. She's sitting on the shelf above my desk, and I'm convinced she must be smiling at me.
More to come! :)

China Town is so bold and colorful! I love the items you came back with, the flamingo is so cute!
love it! Such adorable souvenirs! I love how fantastically eclectic, unique, but totally cohesive China Town is!
Those key chains are so cute!! Unbelievable! I love the top sketch too. Simply lovely.

Haha... I was just thinking... Chinatown looks the same all over the world, except the Singapore one has a more local flavour. But I feel right at home just looking at your photos! Love the flamingo keychain!
Danie,
Thank you so much for visiting and leading me your way.
I love the adorable money pouches you found in Chinatown! It looks like you had such a great time!

Tamara: Thanks!
Kyla: Totally agree. I just couldn't part with it! I love those little ribbon legs.
Sarah: Me too! There's so much going on, and I think it would've taken me about a year to get through if I had tried to go in every shop.
Wren: Aren't they? Thank you so much! I loved making it. :)
Jo: Haha, I'm sure! I need to go to the real China! I know I'm missing out. Thank you so much! Me too! It's actually pretty big (around six inches high including the legs), which makes me so happy.
Karena: I love your blog! It's hard to find places that feature so much original art, so I'm overly enthusiastic. :) I love them so much too...it was almost heartbreaking to give the others away. It was fantastic! Thank you so much!
LOVE the photo of the man and his instrument!!!
I haven't been to San Fran in ages and you've made me realize I need to get back there soon!
Rosa: He was SO incredibly nice. I wish you could have heard it in person! Come to Texas first, please? ;)
I really like last 3 China town souvenirs. I have been to China town in Singapore which is much different. xo
