PHOTOGRAPHY BY RYANN FORD

I came across Elizabeth Stanley's jaw-dropping home yesterday (she has mad design skills!), and as I was trying to find a source for the photography credits, I happily discovered Ryann Ford, the photographer herself! Ryann was more than willing to let me show her awesome photography, and she was sweet as can be. True Texan style, if you ask me. Her photos of Elizabeth Stanley's home are just a snippet of many of her incredible works, so you should definitely check out her blog to blow your mind further.

Do you SEE what I mean when I say Ryann's photos are incredible?

I'm going to try to lift my jaw up from the floor where it plummeted.

Wanna hear a little more about Ryann? Psst...I totally got this from her website's about page:

My name is Ryann Ford and I’m a photographer.  I grew up in a tiny town in the mountains of Southern California.  We didn’t even have a stoplight.  The first real photo I ever took was with my dad’s Pentax Spotmatic from Vietnam when I was 12.  I curled my hair and put on red lipstick, set the camera up on a tripod and took glamour shots of me and my dog.

After graduating from Brooks Institute of Photography, I landed the most unbelievable job on earth with Resorts and Great Hotels magazine, photographing hotels all over the world and eating as much free room service as I could.

After a few years of living like a gypsy, I decided to pack up and move to Austin.  My Chihuahua, Mr. Big, and I were determined to drive Route 66 all the way (or at least to Oklahoma City).  At one point in New Mexico, the road turned to dirt and we had to stop and move tortoises out of the way to get through.  After arriving in Austin, I fell in love with the city and bought a bumper sticker that said “I’m not from Texas, but I got here as fast as I could.”  Now I spend my days taking pictures of pretty places, yummy food, and cool people for clients like Better Homes and Gardens, The New York Times and Texas Monthly.  When I’m not taking pictures, I can be found shopping at J.Crew or hanging out in the backyard with my chickens.

Are you inspired as much as I am? I do hope so!

Have a lovely day, my dears. :)
