These are just a few items from a package that are now dear to my heart, sent from a friend via snail mail. Lately, some of my closest friends plus new connections have showered me with kindness, generosity, and encouragement through regular mail. It makes me rather emotional. In a good way, of course. Some people have told me that post offices are on their way out. I really hope that never becomes reality. These pretties are added to my list of treasures, for sure.

I'm with you Danie...I also hope that traditional post offices can survive us...I love to receive tangible mail. because it's always from my grandma Tete, and I love her very, very much.

I would hate to see the day that snail mail goes by the wayside.. there's something so much more special about reading/seeing a person's unique handwriting and knowing that they took the time to sit down and pen those words especially for you. I really hope that this is never the case. Technology is great, but I like the old standard so much more

I love getting and sending mail! In this day, snail mail seems to get forgotten with technology, so it's always nice to receive or give a package, knowing that someone took the time to send it :)
Janell: I couldn't have said it better myself. Surely the post office will keep on! :) I appreciate technology also, but the personal touch is what's most important to me.
Rosa: You did that first to me! You should have seen me opening the package at night. We were supposed to leave for our trip the next day, but I couldn't stand it. Saying that I love everything in there is an understatement. Don't be surprised if one day I show up on your doorstep looking for a hug.
Wren: You are SO right, my dear! :) I definitely felt loved and worth the time. It's always the smallest things that do that to me.
Kyla: Oh, I know! I'm always so excited when I know a package is on its way. I stood by the mailbox for days...kidding, but I kind of wanted to.
I love snail mail, even if it doesn't include presents ;) haha I always buy stationery and then feel like I have no one to write to...I almost want a pen pal! That would be fun. haha Like being back in Elementary School...lol
Jess: Me too! Anything gets me, whether it's big, small, a card, or even a note on a scrap of paper. Ohh! You totally should be a pen pal for kids in different countries or even in local schools. My husband writes a 4th grader to help improve the boy's English, and the sweet boy (and my husband) love it. It's a program he does through the place he works at. Hmm...I should do the same thing! I'm sure it puts a smile on someone's face.
